Packing the AC White Glint for shipping...

This post is mainly for my client, I started packing my AC White Glint for its long travel to the US ( from the Philippines ). I used a lot of styropor to fasten it inside a MG Zeong box and reinforced the layers of styros with some barbecue sticks. My wife told me that the shipping company might check the contents before they allow shipping so I will add tons of shredded styropors to fill in the gaps and seal the box after they have inspected it in the shipping company.

The nearest FEDEX is a long 2 - 3 hour drive from my place, thus I have to research a bit on some alternatives that is nearer my home or office. Also, I have yet to withdraw the money sent to me for shipping by the client in my paypal account.

Anyways, here are a few photos of the packing of the AC White Glint...

Wing Gundam Zero Custom wallpaper - DC23

Ello guys, The photo on top shows a very quick photoshop doodle of my most recent build, the battle damaged MG Wing Gundam Wing Zero Custom. Actually this is not really a wallpaper coz the composition is vertical and not horizontal, thus this is more of an art card than a wallpaper.

I got the idea of the title " Fallen Zero " from a fellow modeler in ZeroGunz, John David C. and I basically wanted a rising from the dead look in which Wing Custom has his arms tucked on his sides and is rising from the ground. I composited a nice background I got from the internet, added lightning and some clouds and made it look like it is raining.

Wing Gundam Zero Custom - battle damaged

I just  finished painting / weathering my old MG Wing Gundam Zero Custom today and I am pretty happy with the outcome. I gave this kit some battle damage effects  days ago with Hasegawa U type and flat type chisels and also with an ordinary art knife.

I then gave it the sponge paint chipping effects that I also did with the AC White Glint build, however unlike the brown and flat earth enamel washes of the White Glint, I gave this one an ordinary black mixed with flat earth enamel wash. Thus it does not have the rusted old and battered look that I achieved with the AC kit. I will never weather with neutral colors ( black and gray ) next time and will stick to my rust colored weathering. hihi

The concept is to make it look like it is rising from it's grave thus I gave the kit a simple seemingly rising from the dead pose with its arms tucked on the sides and wings still pointing towards the ground...I think the pose gives the overall impression that it just rose from the ground and has just awaken from the dead. sort of Wing Gundam Zero Custom reborn.

The main reason why I wanted to finish this today is because after looking at my AC White Glint build for some time, I realized that the finishing is too flat and that the rubber wires at the back of the shoulders is a bit frosted so I needed to put a nice semi gloss, semi flat top coat to it. BUT, I am lazy to set up my airbrush just to topcoat one kit, so I finished this and gave both a semi flat / semi glossy finish. Anyways, here are some pics of the build...

Armored Core WHITE GLINT wallpaper - DC23

Ello guys, I just finished a quick wallpaper for the AC White Glint that I just finished a couple of days ago. I basically composited a couple of my photos with a nice background, added a ninebreaker ship? and did some burn and smudge effects to blend everything in.

Now here are a couple of semi HD wallpapers in 2 sizes...a 1600 x 1000 and a smaller 1440 x 900 ( for 15 inch screens ). Feel free to download if you like...

Armored Core WHITE GLINT with V.O.B. ver DC23

Ello guys, I just finished putting the final topcoat of my very first international commission work, which is the AC White Glint build and finally it is done! I actually worked on this for 2 1/2 months ( on and off ) and I got the kit around February 28. The kit as I've said before looks really really impressive and is my most impressive looking build so far.

There are a lot of seam lines to work on and there are a gazillion small parts to paint but it was truly a great experience to have worked with a non - Gundam kit. As per the client's intructions which is to glue the loose parts ( make it feel more solid ) and weather the kit, I think I did a fairly good job.

You will notice in the photos that I did not weather the Vanguard Overed Boost ( backpack ) as much as the White Glint itself...I personally think this gives a more logical overall look to the build coz the White Glint does not have the V.O.B. in every mission, plus it adds a nice depth to the overall look of the build.

I have modded the kit with my usual pla plattery and some MSG option parts and have weathered the kit with some Citadel paints and Tamiya enamels. I painted the base color with Tamiya acrylics sealed with Future before weathering and paint chipping, nuf talk about the build coz I have talked a lot about this build in it's 16 part WIP posts.

Anyways, I will let the topcoat cure for a few days and will be shipping this soon to the US...this kit will travel thousands of miles so I have to figure out something to make the packaging solid and secure. I took a lot of photos today coz I will never be seeing this kit again. huhu...anyways here are tons of pics of my AC White Glint ver DC23...
