MG Gundam WZC WIP - snapfit and seam line removal

I finally snap fitted my 2nd MG Gundam Wing Zero Custom last weekend. I first worked on this kit way back March 2008, I forgot how so many seam lines this kit has. Btw, this is my first MG Gundam WZC that I re weathered back in 2009.

This new kit will be our prototype for our collaboration with Halimaw sculptures in producing the 1/35 Gundam WZC. I will be co designing the kit, thus I will detail this MG to serve as a guide for the sculptors of H. I have been cracking my head for a couple of days now on how to do subtle mods on this, as we do not want too much changes on the beautiful Gundam WZC.

It took me one whole day to snapfit this as I was removing the seam lines as I build it. There are seam lines on the elbow and knee internals, foot internals, lower wing parts, all the white shoulder armor parts, across the head and the 2 rifles has seam lines as usual. I have not sanded off the fixed seam lines but here are some photos of the snap fitted kit so far...

Thanks for dropping by! Til' next update! :)

1/4 Iron Man statue: Bleeding Edge by Halimaw Sculptures

The same people who are our partners in bringing you the first ever Philippine made, 1/35 Gundam WZC garage resin kit soon, has just finished their Bleeding Edge project. The Bleeding Edge project features a 1/4 scale Iron Man statue with a cool looking base.

I have been following the WIP posts of this build by Halimaw Sculptures as I am sort of an Iron Man fan. I love the new movies and thus it made me hooked up a bit on this franchise. This statue would look really cool in any MECHA collectors display cabinet. The painting is topnotch and the LED works is totally insane! Such a great feature added to a great looking sculpt! Here are a couple more photos...

More photos of this beautiful masterpiece at Oceansean's blog...

Got my girl atlas - my hauls today!

I told you I want this girl badly. I finally got my hands on a Nobell Gundam, searched in 4 stores at Greenhills until finally getting a piece at Best Toys. I also almost bought a PG Wing Zero Custom but after reading bad reviews about it for the whole week, the price turned me off in the last minute. Bad reviews and almost 8,000 Php does not really go well together.

Instead of getting the PG I got the MG Wing Zero Custom ( 30 years packaging ) which has some clear parts which I never intend to use anyways. I'll be detailing the MG Wing Zero Custom for our 1/35 Resin project as a guide  for the sculptors of Halimaw sculptures.

The MG WZC will be my second build, The first one was done way back early 2008 and was my 3rd MG build. I weathered and battle damaged it back in 2009, here is my first MG WZC now. I also got myself a 1/12 RX 78 2 Beam saber which is really cool! I will give the beam saber and the Nobell Gundam better photos soon.

Thanks for dropping by! See you at the MAC meetup tomorrow! :)
