1/100 EX-S Gundam Plan 303E "Deep Striker"???

My sidebar POLL ( see sidebar ) asking What could be my next big project? basically has results thrown on it already. I doubt the other choices would catch up with the Devil Gundam after the month.

I am having second thoughts on working on the Devil Gundam as it is almost fully scratch built. Aside from the fact that I lack the skills to pull it off, A fully scratch built project is NOT competition friendly ( insert links here ). I could use a MG Master Gundam and use it's internals but other than that kit, the rest of the parts are going to be scratch built.

So why is it not competition friendly? Coz the judges will only judge the MG Master Gundam, and that kit is super small. Could be a winner in my display cabinet but not to the judge's eyes I think ( I may be wrong of course ). So that's it! That makes me think twice on doing a Devil Gundam next year.

Now I am thinking of doing a " DeepStriker " instead. Nope I won't use a resin kit as I cannot and will never afford one anyways. I think I will be needing two MG EX-s Gundams for this project. So this should easily be more expensive and bigger and harder to do than my MG The O II conversion.

Now this is definitely competition friendly! Coz this is going to be huge! Should be bigger than my The O and will try to keep the modifications and the painting clean this time ( will try ).

Besides my good friend Kenny ( Toymaker ) is pushing me to level up my modding techniques and my painting, add the fact that he totally killed my MG the O in our face off recently. So I think this project would be a good opportunity to practice different modding techniques and give me new challenges. It will also be a fresh build in comparison to my fat weathered Zeon kits that I have been doing for 3 years now.

Much credit to Kenny ( Toymaker ) once again if I could pull this off. Will ask him for advice through out the build in the first place.

Once again, thanks for dropping by Til' next post guys! :)

What could be my next BIG project for 2012???

Although I still have a couple of Master Grade Zeta commission works to finish and I just finished my year end The O II verDC23 project, I need your help to decide which should or could be my BIG project next year ( 2012 )?

I always have these kinds of post every after year end Bandai competitions, coz I always like to hear my reader's thoughts. And I always cannot make my mind on what BIG project for next year end. After the Zluca / Kobayashi inspired MG The O that I did, I think I need to work on a clean project to improve my finishing, modifications and painting.

So as always, my next big project is going to be huge, fat, and highly modified. But will try to do a clean finished kit for a change. I need to get away from my comfort zone and do clean stuffs once in a while. Hope to get your inputs on this guys as your help always plays a major part of my decision making.

I have a POLL on my sidebar and hope you leave a vote or two before leaving for MAC forums ( lol ). You could also comment here in this post if you have other suggestions in mind. Thanks as always for dropping by! Til' next post guys!

POLLs removed

Ello guys, the MAC forums is starting to shape up in a week... lots of discussions and posts are already in. So I decided to remove my POLLs here in my blog. The polls are slowing down the loading time of my blog and again due to the forums, I find it unnecessary as their are tons of discussions there already.

Unlike my first poll, which is " What should I do for Bakuc ? " which had hundreds of voters, both these polls had fewer votes. However, the results are pretty interesting. I plan to clean up my blog a little to again speed up the loading time... so I might remove a few more things on the side bar.

As always, thank you to all who voted! Just enjoy the hobby guys! ;)

Thanks for dropping by! Til' next post! XD

What is your Gunpla preference???

Ello guys, I created a poll at the sidebar just for fun. The question is " What is your Gunpla preference? "... Ok, ok I know this is a very wide topic, I mean there is a wide range of levels of modifications out there from custom color schemes, detailing mods and extreme facelift modifications.

But just for the sake of the poll...let us make it simple ( just for fun anyways ) and categorized builds in two main divisions. OOTB or Out of The Box are builds with 0 modifications or subtle modifications which looks like No modifications ( mods that are aimed to improve articulation or add a little more but the kit still looks like OOTB ).

Second is the Modified category which is obviously the creative rendition of a modeler to a certain kit... such as custom color schemes, obvious detailing mods, kit bash and moderate to extreme mods that are very obvious even at first glance.

And lastly, both categories have sub categories which are basically the finishing of the build. Some prefer it clean, weathered or even battle damaged...Now, start voting guys! and let us see how many modelers prefer OOTB or MODIFIED. XD

What hguc would you like to see in MG?

The photo of the hguc Gaplant TR-5 ( Hrairoo ) was taken from dalong.net as usual...who does not want  this really nice kit in MG form? I highly doubt there are even plans ( by Bandai ) of creating one but it would be fun to think about it. I did a simple and fun poll located below my Bakuc poll at the sidebar asking " What hguc kit would you like in MG ? ". Feel free to vote when you have the time. ;)

I enjoy looking at the results of my Bakuc POLL which is the " What kit should I do for Bakuc 2010? "... as I've said the result is surprising in a way, coz the MG Sinanju is winning in the poll and we have seen quite a number of Sinanjus out there. However, the hguc Kshatriya in second place is not surprising though.

Honestly, the list of answers in the poll is my list of hguc kits that I would like to get this year. I don't usually paint hgucs but I would love to add them in my little collection. I also plan to get all the hgucs from the Unicorn series, but asking for it in MG rendition is too early.

Basically, I think most if not all of the hguc kits in the list will never be done in MG, coz they are mostly support units or Zeon units with unorthodox designs that has a little fan base ( Bandai thinks so I guess ). This is just a fun poll that has no deadline... Someday, hopefully one of those kits in the list will be given an MG treatment...but for now lets just enjoy the poll and the possibility of the improbable. hihi. Thanks for dropping by! ;D

EDIT: I have removed the Kshatriya from the answers coz it is winning by a very large margin...so to make the poll more interesting I have replaced it with a different answer. Enjoy the poll! ;D

What should I do for BAKUC 2010???

Ello guys, I am still overly undecided on what to do for Bakuc 2010...I am not really as pumped up in comparison to my previous BAKUC competitions coz after my 2 BAKUC participation I will now be in the Expert category...meaning 0 chance of going to Hong Kong and competing for the World championships ( dang! ). I am still excited about it of course, but definitely not as motivated as before, though competing with the best Gunpla modelers of your own country could be fun.Honestly, will just join for fun this time. ;)

Anyways, I am thinking of doing a MG Sazabi and over detail it ( like my Dom ) and weather it for a change...also thinking of working with my MG Sinanju that I already have since last year and extend ALL those pointy parts specially the short wings. I would also like to test my scratch building skills and create  a large backpack and large weapons for a MG Dom...Over detailing my hguc Kshatriya or even a PG 00 raiser is also an option. I am not really opting for the PG 00 though, coz my detailing style does not really fit Gundam type mechs ( and it is expensive )...as evident with my last year's MG Infinite Justice conversion and detailing.

SO, please help me out here bros? I have put up my first POLL on the sidebar and please vote if you have the time. The poll is from polldaddy.com and is a ton better than your standard blogger poll...one, the voter can suggest an answer that is not in the poll, two... it is highly customizable and the voter can even comment on his answer / answers. Any widget that gives you the opportunity to interact with your readers is always a plus for me, so I really like the extra features of this poll.

Your votes will greatly influence what I would decide to do for BAKUC and the poll will be up until July 1, by that time I have most likely finished my two commission works ( PG MKII and AC White Glint ) and same with last year, I won't be accepting commission works by September this year to give time for my Bakuc project ( well unless you have good offers, hihi...but will be working on them after November ).

Looking forward to your votes! Thanks in advance! til' next post guys! ;D
