What could be my next BIG project for 2012???

Although I still have a couple of Master Grade Zeta commission works to finish and I just finished my year end The O II verDC23 project, I need your help to decide which should or could be my BIG project next year ( 2012 )?

I always have these kinds of post every after year end Bandai competitions, coz I always like to hear my reader's thoughts. And I always cannot make my mind on what BIG project for next year end. After the Zluca / Kobayashi inspired MG The O that I did, I think I need to work on a clean project to improve my finishing, modifications and painting.

So as always, my next big project is going to be huge, fat, and highly modified. But will try to do a clean finished kit for a change. I need to get away from my comfort zone and do clean stuffs once in a while. Hope to get your inputs on this guys as your help always plays a major part of my decision making.

I have a POLL on my sidebar and hope you leave a vote or two before leaving for MAC forums ( lol ). You could also comment here in this post if you have other suggestions in mind. Thanks as always for dropping by! Til' next post guys!

I will KILL a stranger for this!

I want this so badly I will KILL a stranger for this! I want this more than any MG  ( coz I have the MG O now ) and any Perfect Grade ( coz I can't comfortably afford one ) out there! This is the ultimately must have for me. If someone offers this to me and tells me to stop blogging in return, I would readily accept!

Ok, not really... won't give up this site for a piece of plastic. BUT, man I do want this! Much like all the other UC Hardgraph series, this kit is an OOTB modelers day dream! This will sure look great even without modifications. A perfect kit for any Gundam fan. Hope to have this one of these days...

Got my girl atlas - my hauls today!

I told you I want this girl badly. I finally got my hands on a Nobell Gundam, searched in 4 stores at Greenhills until finally getting a piece at Best Toys. I also almost bought a PG Wing Zero Custom but after reading bad reviews about it for the whole week, the price turned me off in the last minute. Bad reviews and almost 8,000 Php does not really go well together.

Instead of getting the PG I got the MG Wing Zero Custom ( 30 years packaging ) which has some clear parts which I never intend to use anyways. I'll be detailing the MG Wing Zero Custom for our 1/35 Resin project as a guide  for the sculptors of Halimaw sculptures.

The MG WZC will be my second build, The first one was done way back early 2008 and was my 3rd MG build. I weathered and battle damaged it back in 2009, here is my first MG WZC now. I also got myself a 1/12 RX 78 2 Beam saber which is really cool! I will give the beam saber and the Nobell Gundam better photos soon.

Thanks for dropping by! See you at the MAC meetup tomorrow! :)

MG Sazabi and some other loots!

Ello guys, just got home from work and I have my MG Sazabi and some other modelling stuffs also!

I bought the MG Sazabi of course, a couple of boxes of  Edward's 1/72 figures, some pla plates ( 2mm, 1.2mm and 1mm ), and a few Tamiya pla rods.

As much as I want to snap fit the Sazabi, I am a bit tired already and will just do so tomorrow. The 1/72 figures looks great and the poses looks so natural though it is a bit expensive at 100 Php per figure. I plan to use it for the PG MKII commission work but I am still thinking of saving the other box for me.

I do not usually buy pla plates thicker than 1mm, but I feel like I have been detailing kits for the past 1 1/2 years and I need to try to improve. I mean, try scratch building or something else to push my Gunpla skills a little bit further. Just adding details and painting gets boring after 2 1/2 years of Gunpla. Wish me luck though, coz I suck at measuring stuffs and scratch building...Anyways, here are a few more photos of my loots today.

After snap fitting my MG Sazabi, I will then compare it to both the hguc Kshatriya and MG Sinanju and place it on my ongoing hangar diorama. Whichever looks best over the dio will be my kit for Bakuc 2010... I will let you know as soon as I make the decision. ;)

Singapore - Gundam Model Kit Challenge 2010

Ello guys, just saw this thread at ZeroGunz.com though I am pretty sure you'll find more of this at PLAMO. A few of our modeler members from Singapore ( Saber and Mr. Gumball ) shared some marvelous photos of the ongoing Gundam midyear competition there.

The MG Sinanju is from Toymaker and is a very nice rendition of the Sinanju I must say, well as expected from him of course. The very neat MG Sazabi is from Titanium. I met Titanium at Hong Kong in the Bakuc finals when he represented Singapore with his perfect Zeong. He is a cool very quite guy actually.

Anywyas, here is the link to the photos they posted at Zerogunz - Singapore's Gundam midyear competition

1/72 pilot figures from Hasegawa - quick review

Perfect for PG Gundams! ok, ok I know...PGs are in 1/60 scale and this figs are in 1/72 scale. Good luck finding 1/60 figures then ( at least in the Philippines ). Same as using 1/87 HO scale figures for 1/100 Gundams... Goodluck for finding 1/100 figs that has nice poses. Or I guess you would rather use 1/100 figures that came with the MG kits? That is great, if you have the skills and patience to alter there poses. XD

Now, here is a quick and short review of a 1/72 pilot figure set from Hasegawa. I was kinda surprised when I saw the figures after opening coz they are 1 piece figures. Usually, unpainted 1/87, 1/72, 1/48, 1/35, 1/24, 1/20 and 1/16 comes unassembled.

A few unpainted 1/87 figures that I used in my 1/100 scale The Graveyard diorama came unassembled much like any 1/35 fig. You have to cement the head, arms, legs and sometimes an accessory. This one on the other had came assembled already. Kinda weird but after inspecting the details, it is almost at par with the PREISER 1/87 unpainted figures that I used before.

If I were to rate the quality of the detail of this figs from Hasegawa from a rate of 1 to 10...I would rate this in the no. 8 spot. No. 10 for the Preiser unpainted figures and no. 3 for the small figures bought in art shops.

The package came with a simple manual and 12 figures, well basically you get 12 figures with 6 designs...two figs are of the same mold. Anyways here are some pics for you to decide if you like these figs for your diorama...a must have I think to liven up any diorama out there...

My cheapo hauls today! XD

Ello guys, I just got home from the shopping mall with my wife and kids, basically I brought the AC White Glint to FedEX for shipping, did some groceries, bought the kids a few cheapo toys, played with the kids in the arcade and treated ourselves to lunch and of course got myself some few stuffs.

The FedEX shipping attempt was a failure, first I inquired at DHL and to GO ( local shipping companies, I think ) then I inquired at FedEX. The attendants are cool and accomodating...but the price is NOT! FedEX is a 100 Php cheaper than DHL and to Go but FedEX is charging me 5,100 Php that is 110 USD! Apparently it is my fault.

Now I know that the shipping companies are charging you in terms of the size/dimension of your package or the weight of the package whichever is bigger. So, using the MG Zeong box was a NO NO...due to its huge dimension ( even though it weighs less than half a kilo ) is really expensive to ship. So basically I bought some bubble wraps today and will try to pack the kit in a smaller box. wish me luck guys. XD

Anyways, due to the shipping frustration I bought a few small cheapo stuffs for myself...I got meself some large markers, a couple of Gundam keychains, a Starcraft 1/20 Terran model kit, a set of 1/72 figures and a tool for modeling. Here they are...

These huge permanent markers can serve me well for a scratch building project I have in mind...similar to what I did with the scratch built backpack I am working on...

This is the last item they have of this Hasegawa 1/20 model kit of a Terran from Stracraft... Alas, my first ever painted model kit, the 1/20 Zerg kit has a company.

It is overly difficult or impossible to find 1/60 or 1/100 figures here in the Philippines...So I got this 1/72 figures for my PG MKII commission build... Just like my " The Graveyard " diorama in which I used 1/87 figures to accompany 1/100 Gundam Seed kits... I will be using this 1/72 figs for my 1/60 PG MKII diorama.

My first Walx Gundam clip is the green Zaku and now I got myself a couple more Walx Gundam clips...a purple Dom and a yellow Acguy clip. I will take photos of this cute little Zeon guys soon.

Lastly, the most expensive ( but still relatively cheap, specially for a tool ) haul I got today. A reamer, this tool is used to make drilled holes bigger. It could make a hole as big as 3mm to 14mm to fit some MSG parts or whatever you want in the hole. Looking forward to using this new tool soon and will share it to you guys. XD

Wish me luck with the shipping guys! thanks for dropping by... til' next post! XD

The O versus Zeta Gundam

Just woke up and will be going to work in a while...just want to share this 6 minute video clip of the final battle ( I think ) between The O and the Zeta Gundam. I am looking forward to getting my hands on the upcoming MG The O and looking and watching clips of it fuels the desire.hihi

This clip is part of the 50th episode of Zeta Gundam and beware coz the video clip shows the ending of the fight and you would not want to see this if you plan to watch the series soon. Thanks for dropping by! til' next post! ;)

more MSG koto parts from Hobbies Corner!

I just arrived from a 12 hour outdoor video shoot today and I am overly tired. I went to the office at 4 am and went back to the office at around 6 30 pm from the shoot ...Anyways, I was rewarded with a package I ordered from Hobbies Corner last week.

I have some 26 pieces of MSG koto parts, a couple of Samuel decal sheets, a couple of aurora sticker lenses, a couple of aurora stickers and a pack ( 2 pieces ) of battery holders ( free from HC ). I still have 15 pieces of MSG koto parts I ordered a while back... I just like the idea of having that much supplies at hand. hihi.

Again, thanks to Oldman ( ZeroGunz VIP member and owner of Hobbies Corner ) for the fast delivery as always, the nice shipping cost and the quality of the stuffs when it arrived. Anyways here are some lousy pics of my new supplies...
