PG RX-78-2 modeled by SLIVER

PG RX-78-2 modeled by SLIVER photo

I have been away in the forums for a couple of days, and that feels like a couple of weeks at MAC forums as people ( members ) keep on pouring great stuff both in the work in progress threads and the completed section threads.

I have here today a masterpiece by MAC forums member SLIVER. Sliver did a great job on this old perfect grade RX-78-2 Gundam kit. He added subtle modifications that complimented the overall look of the kit and his painting is topnotch flawless work. He painted this masterpiece with Industrial grade spray cans but he used it so well producing such a good finish.

Anyways, gazillion photos of this build at MAC forums as usual. Here is the link guys...

Airbrush shading without Airbrush by SLIVER

custom RG Zaku modeled by SLIVER photo

Yes I am not joking. This is airbrush shading without the use of airbrush! I am currently snap fitting the same RG kit and I am halfway in giving up as the parts are really so small for my fat fingers! Thus I am very amazed at this build as the modeler even managed to add beautiful shading effects on those tiny armor parts!

The shading that looks like airbrush shading was done with Tamiya Weathering Master. I have never seen anyone use those sets to shade along the panel lines as precisely as this one. I personally just plainly use them to weather my kits. This is inspiring work form new MAC forums member SLIVER.

Superb job on this tiny RG Zaku kit. Discussion and a ton more photos of this build at our forums. Here is the link guys...

Real Grade Strike Noir conversion by SLIVER

RG Strike Noir conversion by SLIVER photo

I always liked the Strike Noir very much since I was starting the hobby back in 2008. My first ever 1/100 kit ( January 2008 ) was a HG Force Impulse Gundam and my first MG was a Freedom Gundam. I always wanted to get the MG Strike Noir but eventually fell in love with Zeon MS kits.

I like this conversion very much as it is more detailed than the MG counterpart. This very nice build was modeled by new MAC forums member SLIVER. This was painted with spray cans and he did a good job on the overall look of the conversion project. Anyways discussion and more photos of this build at MAC forums. Here is the link guys...
