The BOX

I got this kit last weekend when I went hunting for commissioned work Perfect Grades. I got this from Fortress at Greenhills at 5,800 php. This model is from Privateer Press and is the Gargantuan model of the Hordes Skorne faction. I was planning to get the Gargantuan model of the Trollbloods which is the Mountain King as I have a small army of Trollbloods ( see my Gallery ). But I decided against getting the Mountain King as I really find the Skorne Mammoth so beautiful and challenging to paint! For the record I almost got myself a PG Unicorn on the same day but decided against it as I have 2 Perfect Grade commissioned works on the way, so I practically have no time to build a PG Unicorn anyways.

This should be so tedious and fun to paint. Both the Hordes Skorne faction and the Warmachine Protectorate of Menoth are the most difficult models to paint from Privateer Press. So now I decided to build an army of Skorne models! I wish to get the Skorne Army pack once they release it this February!

I do not see much unboxing of Warmachine and Hordes miniatures around the net. I then decided to put up posts of all my future unboxing as it should be helpful and fun to read. I am also trying to poison both DECAY and Mr.GAV to try to paint any of the Warmachine models as they are really good with hand painting!

This model stands on a 120mm round base and is made of resin and white metal parts. I love the materials used by Privateer Press as they make solid molds with very nice details. I love the weight of these models as they make you feel like your holding a premium work of art! Heavy and detailed and once painted should look super nice on any display cabinet. Miniatures are extreme showmanship of hand painting skills and learning to hand paint well should be a fun experience.

The  CONTENTS

The model came with the usual playing cards that I plan to learn how to use soon. The model came with chunkc of heavy resin pieces, small resin pieces, highly detailed white metal ( pewter I think ) parts, the 120mm round base, and a simple instruction sheet. I used a bottle of Vallejo Model Air as reference for the scale of the model parts.
